Interventional Neuroradiology

UCLA Interventional Neuroradiology (Endovascular Therapy) evaluates adults and children for cerebrovascular disorders including aneurysms, brain arteriovenous malformations, stroke, arteriovenous fistulas, spine vascular malformations, carotid stenosis, cerebral angioplasty and stenting. After multidisciplinary consultation including colleagues in stroke neurology and neurosurgery, the optimal treatment plan is determined.

In general, adult and pediatric patients with vascular malformations or disease requiring either closure or dilatation who express the desire for this treatment modality will be accepted. Examples include arteriovenous malformations, aneurysms, vascular tumors, and acute brain stroke.

The interventional Neuroradiology team is an active member of the UCLA Stroke Center which is one of only seven centers in the United States funded by the National Institute of Health.
